- As part of a team, build serverless microservices to help get science models integrated into the system for user-in-the-loop feedback.
- Help drive our research and development efforts through tooling and data lake integrations.
- Integrate these microservices with various machine learning and analytics models and algorithms.
- Work with the data science and apps teams to discuss and understand requirements for making models ready for humans.
- Submit pull requests for all changes (code and infrastructure) and participate in reviewing others' PRs.
- Enhance the testing and continuous integration of the code you wrote.
- Manage and deploy your own services via Terraform.
- This role focuses on Go and Serverless technologies (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB); knowledge of Python and Node will also help!
- We run on AWS; we don't have local servers, everything is in the cloud, with a mix of instances, containers and serverless, focusing on services like RDS, SQS/SNS and S3
- Jenkins, Terraform, Docker, Datadog and CloudWatch are used to automate and monitor our delivery pipeline.
- Jira, Confluence, Google Apps and Slack are used for collaboration.
- Have a Degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or related) from a reputable university or college, or enough relevant industry experience.
- Work well in a team, as well as independently; we design / problem solve together, but also require individual research into challenges.
- Be comfortable working in a growing, dynamic and fast-moving environment.
- Be willing to take ownership and accountability for a solution and run with it, both under supervision and without.
- Be willing to learn, solve problems, automate processes, and document all the things!
- Be capable of working effectively while remote; given the distributed nature of our teams and offices, we work with a remote first mindset, regardless of physical location.
